    Families and Swan School

Parental involvement in the activities of the school is appreciated, encouraged, and a crucial element in the development of a successful learning experience for the children. From helping kids read in the classroom to performing maintenance and cleaning chores, families regularly give many hours each month to keep Swan School standards high. We maintain a Parent Library in the office of titles parents are welcome to borrow at any time.

    Location

Located on a city block in a quiet residential neighborhood of Port Townsend, Washington, overlooking Kai Tai Lagoon and Port Townsend Bay, Swan School has been an institution in Port Townsend for more than a quarter of a century. The students enjoy a large grassy play yard with an adjacent woods that serves as a natural exploration and environmental discovery area. It is not uncommon to observe many different animals moving in or around the grounds which is also home to a variety of bird families.
