Swan School - Creative Independent Education
At Swan School we value children as individuals
and believe in developing the creative, intellectual, emotional,
social, and physical well-being of each child through our core values.
We are located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Port Townsend, Washington, on school-owned grounds that include four classrooms, a kitchen and activity room, an ever-growing library and a large grassy and wooded playground.
Since its inception in 1983, our student-centered school has relied upon the commitment, creativity, and energy of our well-trained professional faculty, and the Swan School parents. Parents offer their wide-ranging talents and considerable enthusiasm in the classrooms, on our frequent field trips, and in our social and fundraising activities. Parent-volunteers serve on our governing Board of Directors, and monthly parent meetings allow parents, teachers, aides, and Board members, to share information, discuss ideas and concerns, and plan activities.
