News From Marcy's Class
Friday we did an all-school presentation on being safe at school. We wrote a book about who we are. It is in our classroom library. Marcy's and Karen's class walked to Kah Tai Lagoon. On the way we named the colors of just about everything we saw in Spanish.

News From Karen's Class
Please look at our wall of "Places We Like to Read at Home". Friday we shared our favorite books with each other. We'll be reading a few of the shorter ones each day. Marcy's and Karen's class walked to Kah Tai Lagoon. On the way we named the colors of just about everything we saw in Spanish.

News from Russ' & Lowell's class
Math groups were formed and have been meeting this week. Just a reminder: unless otherwise noted math homework is due the very next day. Our first homework project was presented this week. It was very well done and students learned quite a bit about great white sharks from it! The project is on display above the couch. New shelves will be built this weekend for storage of the keyboards. We are looking forward to getting some parent volunteers to help in our classroom. If you are interested, we will have a sign-up list in our room on Monday.

School news from Russ
We had another great week. Students continue to show how much they care for our school community by helping each other throughout the day, being responsible and showing respect for those around them. Tables have arrived, been assembled, and put to use in Karen and Russ' classrooms. They greatly facilitate cooperative learning by all of the students. We now have over 20 student desks that won't be used. Any ideas about desk storage, money making options, or having them disappear would be appreciated. They are sitting outside under the eaves anxiously awaiting a decision.
