Hi Parents,
There is so much happening that needs attention before Spring
Break that I'm putting out a Thursday update:
RETURNING STUDENTS
Please let us know by tomorrow (Friday) before Spring Break if your child
will be returning to Swan School next year. By doing so you will not have a
tuition increase for next year and you will not forfeit your last months
tuition deposit. There are a few parents we still have not heard from. There are many new families eager for a place in the classrooms for their child and we must hear from you in order to save your child's place.
FRIDAY 12:30 DISMISSAL
Spring Break begins tomorrow at 12:30 pm. THERE WILL BE NO AFTER SCHOOL
PROGRAM TOMORROW. Loida is offering a program beginning Monday, April 2 for
the vacation week. Contact her directly to sign your child up.
SATURDAY "MONEY MONKEY WORK"
At Tuesday night's parent meeting it was agreed that this is the easiest
fund raiser Swan has ever had. You just go do simple assembly line work for
3 hours or more at the Toland Garden Warehouse and meet new or old friends
while you are doing simple "monkey work". They even feed you lunch I am
told. Swan earned over $600 dollars just last Sat. morning!! THIS SATURDAY
IS OUR LAST WEEKEND CHANCE UNTIL OCTOBER. SIGN UP OR JUST SHOW UP FOR A
SHIFT STARTING AT 9:30 TO 12:30 OR continue and stay as long as you can. We
need EVERYONE'S SUPPORT in this endeavor. If we do not field enough
"monkeys" (that's us) to get the work done they will need to ask other
organizations for help and we'll lose that money for Swan.
I have signed up for my first shift this Saturday so I hope to see LOTS of
you there as well helping our great school and having fun.
Directions to the warehouse: Sims Way out of town to Fredricks. Left on
Fredricks. Left on N.Otto. Second warehouse on left. Look for American Flag.
TUITION IS DUE
April 1st is this Saturday so please get your tuition checks in by tomorrow
so that we may get them deposited.
AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH
Someone has borrowed the DVD and failed to return it. Please return to
office so others may borrow it.
GRASS CUTTERS
We are looking for a few good men and women who can help with the Swan lawn
mowing. The grass IS going to grow and we need helpers. You may email me at
school or talk to Sorcha Ashling. This is a "bring your own mower"
proposition and we can divide up the amount of mowing if we get volunteers.
I hope all of you have a wonderful Spring Break and we'll see all of you
back at school at 9am, April 9th!
