Hi Parents,

Kind of quiet around here with both the Navigators and Adventurers gone... the Explorers are enjoying being the Big Kids this week! A few things to note:

NO SCHOOL TOMORROW
We will be closed for State Professional Day tomorrow. Enjoy the long weekend! No after-school program tomorrow.

LAST WAREHOUSE OPPORTUNITY 'TIL JANUARY
If you haven't had a chance to participate in the production labor fundraiser yet, you've got one more chance this year: Monday, October 15. Come work from 9-1, help the school raise money, and get your parent service hours in while having a good time with other parents. Together we've raised $2400 so far!

SWEATSHIRT/T-SHIRT ORDER
The order for sweatshirts and long-sleeve t-shirts will go in on Wednesday in order to get them back in time for our first all-school field trip October 31. Please stop by the office and place your order ASAP-- we won't order again until Spring!

PICTURE DAY OCT. 17
Next Wednesday is our annual picture day-- please dress your child accordingly! Proofs and order sheets will be back within 2 weeks.

EARLY RELEASE OCT. 17
We have a 12:30 release next Wednesday. Loida will hold her after-school program; contact her directly to reserve a spot.

AFTER SCHOOL ON THE FARM
Stacey Stafki, our PE teacher, will hold her "After School on the Farm" program from 12:30-5:30 on Wednesday, October 17th, and again from 3:30-5:30 on Thursday, October 18th. Kids will be driven from school in the Community Van, and should be picked up at Corona Farms at 5:30. See http://www.seedspring.org/afterschoolprograms for more information.

NOTE FROM PE TEACHER
Stacey has asked that we remind parents that children need sturdy footwear and waterproof jackets on PE days-- they are outside rain or shine, and need to be properly attired to fully benefit from the PE program.
