Hi Parents,

It is nearing the end of another busy week at Swan. A huge "THANK YOU!" to all the parents who drove our kids to the Pumpkin Patch and pool. It was a wonderful time and our Washington weather cooperated. Here is important information for all of you regarding upcoming events:

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES SIGNUP
The conference schedules are all in the office taped to the center desk. Please stop in and sign up for a time. Conferences begin Nov. 14th. Loida will be offering her after school program beginning at 12:30 everyday during conferences. See her for details.

ALL SCHOOL HARVEST POTLUCK DINNER
TUESDAY, NOV. 6th. 5:30-8:00 pm
Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (corner of San Juan and 24th)
Bring a favorite dish or two to share, we hope to make this a family social event for everyone at Swan. QUUF is a "Green Sanctuary" so we request that you bring your own place settings and that they not be disposable. We will provide beverages, and cloth napkins. Our own advanced violin students will be playing or us and maybe a few other surprises while we feast. If you have a musical instrument bring it along, we hope to have a bonfire if the weather cooperates. Plan on joining us for an evening of family fun, food, and fellowship next Tuesday evening!

TUESDAY MORNING KEYBOARD CLASS
This particular class is being offered for the children who are able to keep up with a faster paced group. This class is also available for the kids taking violin. The regular keyboard class during school time will be focused more toward beginning players. This extra morning class is $5 per class, payable to Gary Fredrick.

AFTER SCHOOL MARIMBA CLASSES TO BE OFFERED
Our music teacher Dhati Blanchard has offered to teach two separate marimba classes on Tuesday afternoons for $5 a class. Class begins Tuesday, Nov. 6. 3:45-4:15 Explorers and beginners 4:15-4:45 Advanced marimba Parents, sign up in the office if your student is interested in playing marimba. The classes will be held in Karen's room, no more than 10 per class. If there are more than 10 she will teach an additional class.

RECORDER CLASSES
Dhati is willing to also teach recorder if enough kids sign up. Sign up is in the office.

ROSIE HIPPO ORDERS
Don't forget to order for Christmas and help Swan School at the same time. Orders for games and toys must be in by Nov. 15th.

SWEATSHIRTS AND TEES
We will be placing another order for the sweatshirts and tee's to correct some errors. Now that you've seen them do you need one? Last call, order in the office.
