Hi Parents,

VISION/HEARING SCREENING RESULTS
Many thanks to Elli Tathum and Christine Burnell for spending their whole day here screening our kids on Wednesday! Any kids that they felt should be followed up with have a referral in their hanging folder; if there's nothing in your child's folder, you should assume hearing and vision were within normal ranges. Some of the older kids have not had the hearing portion of the screening completed yet; Joe Mattern will be in to test them in the next two weeks.

FRIDAY COFFEE
The Board would like to invite you to join them in the office on Friday mornings after drop-off for a cup of coffee, a muffin, and a chance to chat with other parents or ask the board any questions you might have. They'll be in the office waiting to say hi starting this Friday!

NO SCHOOL MONDAY 1/21
Martin Luther King holiday - enjoy the day off!

ELECTIVES NEXT WEEK
Thanks to those of you who have offered to teach an elective next week. Kids will make their choices this week-- you should look forward to hearing about some very interesting classes next week! Electives will be held Tuesday-Friday from 2:10-3:10 pm.

CONCERT & DESSERT POTLUCK NEXT FRIDAY
We're looking forward to our first all-school concert of the year next Friday, 1/25, from 6-8pm at the First Baptist Church, 1202 Lawrence St. in Uptown. The concert will run from 6-7:15, followed immediately by a dessert/finger food potluck in the church basement. Please bring something to share-- sweet or savory is fine, just so it's relatively easy to eat while standing up!

SMALL DESK/COMPUTER CART NEEDED
Does anyone have a small desk or computer cart that we could use in Lowell's room? Please let Lowell know if so!

HAVE YOU TURNED IN YOUR CHILD'S EMERGENCY COMFORT KIT?
Deb Neville asked us to remind all of you to bring your child's comfort kit in ASAP. If you've lost the checklist, check with us in the office. With unpredictable winter weather, etc, it's especially important that everyone is prepared.
