Hi Parents,

A few things to keep in mind before we part this week...

1/2 DAY THIS FRIDAY
12:30 dismissal for Spring Break on 3/28. Enjoy your vacation-- see you back here on Monday April 7!

LOST & FOUND
We have a lots of Swan sweatshirts, jackets, (you name it, it's in there!) Check the overflowing Lost & Found tub in the office. We are sprucing up for our big Open House on April 11 and this stuff needs to be gone!

LOIDA'S SPRING CAMP
Loida will be holding a Spring Camp on Monday through Wednesday next week, from 9-3:30. Cost is $30/day. The kids will be exploring Port Townsend, and will need lunches and snacks. Please contact Loida to let he know if your child will be attending any or all of those days: 643-0227.

KID'S MARATHON TRAINING
Stacey asked that you remind those children who are signed up for the kid's marathon to run or walk at least 2 miles during Spring Break-- with breaks and field trips, etc, they'll need those 2 miles to stay on track for the marathon! Please keep track of the miles and let Stacey know after break.

TUITION DUE
If possible, please pay next month's tuition prior to vacation.

FINANCIAL AID AVAILABLE
We do have financial aid available for next year and encourage you to apply. The application process is very simple, but can take up to a week to process, and we'd like to have received all applications by April 7. Please pick up the form in the office (also available online at http://www.swanschool.net/generalinfo.html), and let us know that you intend to apply.

INTENT TO RETURN FORMS
While the deadline is officially April 11, if you already know you will OR will not be returning, please let us know ASAP. We are currently building the class lists for next year and it would be helpful to know how many spots we have available prior to the Open House. We have forms in the office; you can also email or call us. If you would like to use your deposit for June's tuition, we must receive your form by 4/11. Thank you!

WAREHOUSE WORK 4/8
The second day back from vacation we have another date at the Toland Warehouse to raise money for Swan (thanks to all those parents who are working away this morning, too!). This will be Tuesday from 9 am to 1 pm; we are in need of at least 3 more people. Grab a friend and come help!

NO PARENT MEETING 4/8 - OPEN HOUSE 4/11
We had a parent meeting scheduled for 4/8, but would rather have you come join us at the Open House on Friday 4/11 from 4:30-6, so we're going to reschedule the parent meeting for another time. We'd love to have your help on the 11th with light snacks and welcoming prospective families, so please plan on at least stopping by on April 11. Invite your friends, too!

EARTH DAY PARTICIPATION 4/20
Gary and Leslie would like to have the choir and violin ensemble kids participate in the Earth Day procession on Sunday, April 20 at 11:30. We will meet and assemble at 11 am at the US Bank on Water Street (near the ferry landing), then head down Water Street to Memorial Field, where the Green Living Expo will be taking place. Both the choir and violin ensemble may be performing at the Expo as well. We'll have more details on the event after break, but please mark your calendars now.

Have a great vacation and we'll look forward to seeing you back on April 7!
