TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK
This week, in addition to having treats in the office for the teachers in the mornings, we'd like to have lunch available for them every day this week. This could be salads, sandwich fixings, etc. If you'd be willing to bring something or coordinate a meal, please let us know in the office. One more reminder about Friday's concert... 6-8 PM at the First Baptist Church on Lawrence. ALL children, Discoverers through Adventurers, will be performing. We will have a brief finger-food potluck in the church basement following the concert; please drop your potluck items off downstairs before the concert. In doing an annual review of our school policies and procedures, we noticed we've gotten lax about locking the classroom doors during the day while the kids are in class. In order to comply with our own guidelines, we will be be better about locking the doors while the kids are in class. If you should visit your child's classroom during the school day, please just knock for admittance! The 24th Street door is locked all day except during drop off and pick up for Discoverers; please enter school through the office.RHODY GRAND PARADE
We were trying to pull off an entry in this year's Grand Parade, but have opted to stick to the Kiddie Parade this year. Kids may not all know this yet, so don't be confused if they insist they are in the Grand Parade! They're not. Hopefully we can make it work for next year!
