Hi Parents,

Several things to get caught up on this week, and several opportunities to get your volunteer hours in...

1/2 DAY TOMORROW
Don't forget the 12:30 release tomorrow, and no school Monday. Enjoy the 3-day weekend!

PINK EYE UPDATE
Three of our four classrooms have now had confirmed cases of pink eye, which is apparently the bacterial strain and not the viral one. This means it is important to have your child see a doctor right away if you suspect pink eye in order to start treatment with the antibiotic drops or ointment. The good news is that the bacterial version clears up very quickly with treatment, and you are no longer contagious within 24 hours. Apparently this is running rampant in the entire community right now. There is some good information available at http://www.kidshealth.org/parent/infections/common/conjunctivitis.html.

LEARNER EXPO
Our last Learner Expo of the year will be on Thursday, May 29 from 5:30-6:30. The kids have been working in multiage groups on this Space unit-- should be lots of fun!

ELECTIVES CANCELLED
With the last day of school looming large, and so many exciting projects and events going on in the classrooms, the teachers have decided to cancel our last set of electives this year.
