What a great first week back we're having! It's been so much fun to see all the kids learning their new routines and see how much everyone has grown over the summer.

VIOLINS!
Speaking of growing... lots of kids are starting violin this year and many have outgrown their violins from last year. If you have a too-small violin, you can bring it in for a tuition credit of $100. If your child is in need of a violin, you can purchase one for $100. See Carrie in the office to make arrangements.

EMERGENCY COMFORT KITS
If you have not turned in your child's emergency comfort kit, please do so tomorrow! Thanks to all of you who have brought one in.

FOUND iPOD
In doing our final cleanup before school started we came across someone's iPod-- see Carrie in the office to identify and claim!

PARENT MEETING TUESDAY
Please mark your calendars for our first parent meeting of the year, next Tuesday, 9/15, at 5 pm. We'll have child care available for $2/child, and a small snack for the kids. We'll be handing out the revised parent handbook and this year's phone directory. There will be time after the meeting to meet with your child's teacher in their classroom-- ESPECIALLY important for families who have children in a new class this year.

CAMPOUT IS COMING
Let's hope this weather holds for our all-school campout NEXT Friday, September 18 at Old Fort Townsend! We'll have more information available at the parent meeting.

ART AFTER SCHOOL
Our art teacher, Diane Porter Brown, will offer Art after school until 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays for $8 per child per day, September 15th through December 17th. Children can sign up for either one or both days per week. She needs to limit the number to TEN per day to allow for adequate room per child, and cannot discount for siblings. Art will be available for kindergarten-age and up.

September 15 though December 17
COST:
Tuesdays only: 14 sessions x $8 = $112 per child
Thursdays only: 13 sessions x $8 = $104 per child
BOTH: 27 sessions x $8 = $216 per child
