Cynthia Osterman (Holden's mom) has three tickets to SCT's "In The Northern Lands: Nordic Myths" which can be used for any performance between now and the end of the run on March 14 (schedule and show information here: http://www.sct.org/browse/production.aspx?prod=6108 ) The tickets have a face value of $63. Next Wednesday we have a 12:30 dismissal. The board is hosting a hot dogs and chili lunch for parents and kids, followed by a parent meeting. Kids who will be staying can eat first and then head to Loida's class (see below). The meeting will start after lunch at 1:30.CHILDCARE FOR PARENT MEETING LUNCHEON
Instead of the usual childcare, Loida is offering to include kids whose parents are attending the Parent Meeting in her "Building Character" class for the reduced rate of $5. They will be watching the film "Iron Will" (based on a real participant in the 1917 Iditarod-- an event the kids happen to be following right now!) and having a discussion afterwards. The film will start at 1 pm, is 1 hour and 15 minutes long, and the discussion will be about a half hour, so kids could be picked up as early as 2:45, or are welcome to stay until the program ends at 3:30. Because she has limited space, please let me know ASAP if you will be attending the meeting and would like to reserve a space for your child in Loida's "Building Character" class!MARCH PARENT MEETING
You have two opportunities to attend this month's meeting-- Wednesday 3/10 following lunch (1:30 pm), or Thursday 3/11 at 5 pm-- pick which one works best for you. Childcare will be available Thursday evening for $2 per child. It would be helpful to know ahead of time if you will be needing childcare and for how many kids-- please just send me a quick email. The board will make some exciting announcements about next year that you're not going to want to miss!OPEN HOUSE
Our annual Open House will be held Friday, March 19 from 4-5:30. Please invite your friends! We could also use help putting up fliers-- please see me if you'd like to earn some volunteer time walking around in the Spring sunshine and putting up fliers... ;-)CALENDAR ITEMS

- Sunday 3/21 - We've rented the city pool from 3-5 for some family fun!
- Wednesday 3/31 & Thursday 4/1 - 12:30 dismissals for Parent/Teacher Conferences
- Friday 4/2 - No school - Spring Break begins! Back to school 4/12.
STARS OF TOMORROW DEADLINE 3/12
If your child is interested in performing in the Stars of Tomorrow performance on Sunday, March 28, you must have your permission slip turned in by next Friday, March 12. There will be an audition Tuesday, March 16 at Blue Heron. If a solo seems daunting, consider a duet or trio... we have so many musical kids here, it would be fun to have a good turn out from Swan!
