Hi all,
It was so much fun to see parents and kids and staff enjoying the sunny weather and good company at our BBQ the other night-- we should do that more often!
GOT FLOWERS?
We need flowers tomorrow! Please bring us whatever you've got blooming that you can spare some of... we need to cover our giant Swan. We can use help at 9 am here at school getting the Swan ready.
12:30 DISMISSAL TOMORROW
Head home, eat a good lunch, rest up, and then head to the...
KIDDIE PARADE!
We are meeting at 2:45 at the corner of Lawrence & Pierce in UPTOWN. Please bring a snack and some water-- it's going to be warm, and there's quite a bit of standing around time. Please have kids in Swan School attire-- t-shirts, sweatshirts, long-sleeve t's, whatever! Other items will be distributed at 2:45. The parade itself starts at 3:30.
SWAN SCHOOL SHIRTS
I'm going to put out what we've got for shirts, sweatshirts, etc. tomorrow morning-- we've got a variety of sizes, styles and colors to choose from. They range in price from "by donation" to $15. We'd like to clear out as much of our inventory as possible to make way for a new order in the fall-- so come update your wardrobe for spring! Kids and adult sizes available.
THINGS WE NEED...
Please bring newspapers to the Adventurers! For our flight unit we also need your 1 liter pop bottles (with lids). Thank you!
CONCERT NEXT FRIDAY
Please encourage your violinists and keyboard players to be practicing at home this week-- our last concert of the year is next Friday, May 21 at 6 pm. We'll be down the street at Quimper UU Fellowship. Please bring a finger food to share after the concert.
VOLUNTEER HOURS
There is a list on the bulletin board of jobs that need doing. Grab a job to meet your volunteer hours before the June invoices go out! You will be billed for unworked hours on the June invoice. There are a few items on our "wish list" also on the bulletin board-- donation of one of these items (new or gently used) can count against your remaining hours!
ELECTIVES-- WE NEED YOU!
Please start thinking about an elective you might be willing to offer or coordinate the week of June 1-4. If you have a friend, relative or acquaintance who might be able to offer something, that would be great, too! This is for all the kids in K-6, but the elective offering can specify what ages you'd like to include. Your offering can be given anywhere between 1-4 times, or can be a multiple-day offering (ie: 2 days in a row). Electives will be held Monday-Thursday from 2:05-3:05. We have a *small* budget for supplies-- please check with the office if you'd like to offer something that has a cost associated with it.
Have a great Rhody Weekend!
